I bought the medium size for my smallish weimaraner and it seems to be working. I like the soft fleece and that I only have to pop it over her head and not get her to step into it (the side clips allow you to fasten it up after they are in). sizing problems
I bought 2 small harnesses for my Chihuahuas, they measure approx. 35 cm around the body so according to the size guide this should fit, however when they came they were huge and chunky. They were not just a bit too big, they were made more for a dog at least twice or three times the size of mine. oh well , my mistake I thought, so I ordered two of the extra small. However when these came they were absolutely tiny and really thin. They are probably about a tenth of the size of the small. The size discrepancy between the small and the extra small is really not suitable. Due to this these harnesses don't fit my dogs as the small is too big and the extra small is too small and there is nothing in between. Quality wise they are well made, but overall very disappointed, and now have 4 dog harnesses that don't fit.
Replacement has proved excellent
Received this harness immediately prior to going away for a week, delivery first class and first look seemed a really good product, good fit, fleece covering looked adequate etc, happy dog hence 1 star. On the second day away one of the clips wouldn't open, then 2 days later the second clip failed. This made life very difficult so reverted to the dogs old harness (luckily we took it with us) which we have had for 3 years, and other than some fraying is still working perfectly (not a Trixi product). I have opted for a replacement harness as surely they all cant be as bad as this one ???????

Follow Up: Now some 5 Months since this product was replaced without any hassle by Amazon. Product has been excellent, no hint of problems which affected last harness, the harness is still soft even after numerous swims etc. I would now definitely recommend>
